Atmospheric Black Metal Cat Cold cosmic sludge black metal . Absolutely fantastic Favorite track: Schädlicher Einfluss.

________ A fantastic offering of Urzeit, easily beating their prior output. Almost punky in its punchiness, Schädliger Einfluss features cold and sepulchral riffing complemented by a diverse and competent mix of different vocal styles—croaks from the grave, brutish roaring and banshee-like wailing. And seriously, pay attention to that final minute. I can never resist turning up the volume to that bleak climax.

xhrl_ More fabulous blackened metal! And wonder of wonders, it is from Portland?! This is from a Split EP, and this is Urzeit's offering from it. The rack "Schädlicher Einfluss" could mean a 'harmful influence' or a 'pestilence or blight'. Thus one can see quite easily how the blackened thematic element is there before even listening! The tempo is mid-range to slightly faster and the music is effective in drawing you in on its bleak sonic journey. I look forward to a larger release from Urzeit!
